Me And The New T.I. Album Are Getting To Be Good Friends

I've always liked T.I. I Don't know what he was doing with his last album where he had alter egos or whatever, but I respect him for at least doing something different. Well, on his new album Paper Trail, he sounds like he's rapping like his life depends on it. I guess in way it does. He's about to do a year in jail for trying to buy firearms. On the album he defends himself, as well as takes the blame for what he did. The result: T.I. made his Me Against The World.
It's a solid album, fucking incredible at times. The first two tracks (56 Bars & I'm Illy) have T.I. spitting that slick shit ("broads hit they knees, out they clothes when they greet me/mouth wide open just begging me to skeet skeet). Then there's On Top of The World, his first song together with Ludacris that has a cool hook. Swing Ya Rag is typical Swizz Beats, although for some reason it kind of reminded me of some old Cash Money shit. Rihanna blesses Live Your Life with a nice hook, which sounds like it could be a single (it may be one now. I never listen to the radio so what do I know. And of course, I couldn't leave off Swagger Like Us, featuring Jay Z, Kanye West, Lil Wayne and a sick hook from M.I.A.
So, yeah T.I. did it again so check it out. I mean shit you can go to Amazon and download it for 3.99. Trust me, it's well worth that. I could go into some long preamble about his court case and shit. Butit's kind of late and I wanna go to bed. So there you go.

Is This Kind Of Shit Really Still Around? Really?

Okay so I'm sitting at work and I hear this song by this band called Hollywood Undead. I guess they're the cool new thing for the kids. Here's my question though: Haven't we seen all this before. We rap, and we play guitar but hey we're still a little sensitive no matter how tough we look. It was called rap metal. And it didn't seem like it would ever fucking end. But finally it did. Apparently the record companies will try anything these days. Sorry, but I'm not buying it, buddy. I don't think I would even be into this if I was a kid. And I was into some bad shit as a kid. Anyways, the song I heard was "Undead (Out The Way)". Lucky for you I couldn't find a video, but someone with way too much time on their hands made a video of their own on YouTube. Enjoy and i'm sorry.

It's Really Fucking Random Music Night Tonight, Baby!

Okay so I'm trying to fight boredom. I'm at work on a Sunday night, registering for fantasy hockey, and so I figured I could post some bullshit tonight. You know me, I'm all about random music. When I walk into a store, I'm always listening to see what song is playing over the PA. Anyway, I spent way too much of my youth watching MTV's Headbangers Ball, so i remember all sorts of random bullshit. So why don't I showcase a few bands right now. Why? Because I'm the man and I can.
First up is a band from Seattle called Mind Funk. They were a grunge band from Seattle (where else?). I really liked this song "Goddess" for some reason.
<><

Next up, New York's own Circus of Power. A very underrated band in my opinion. The riff in this song "Vices" is one of the greatest of all time. Prove me wrong.
<><

Last, but never least, is the great Suicidal Tendencies. I loved this band. When I was a kid they kinda scared me for some reason. It must have been their guitarist's old school Pittsburgh Pirates cap. Anyways this is "Send Me Your Money", one of my favorites from them. Remember in the 80's it was all about how greedy and evil televangelists were? Well, that's what this is about.

So I hope you enjoy my trip down memory lane. I'm sure I'll do something like this again. I'll take requests too if there;s anybody out there. hello...hello...

A reason to put up fun pics....

I have heard things growing up that sounded reasonable but may or may not have been true. Would like to clear up two and maybe get an answer to another. According to wikipedia the end all and be all of answers the daddy long legs spider or Pholcidae is not the most venomous spider in the world. Those mythbusters idiots debunked it. So no fear let those crazy buggers hang out on the ceiling. Next is a story my high skool science teacher Mr. Elliot told that was close to right. It is the conjoined twins who married twins and one died in his sleep and when the other conjoined twin woke up he died at the sight of his other half dead. Wrong. They did marry twins but one twin died in his sleep so they cut the other guy free and he died a week later from cerebro-spinal meninigitis.
And finally the story I heard on the radio about Rick Allen the drummer of Def Leppard who lost his arm. Heard on the radio that the bloody shirt he was wearing during the accident sold at auction. Cant find any answers to that. Any truth to that Wikipedia?

If you've never been to the bay......do come but bring a decent radio station.

Was riding back to the bay area from Yosemite last week and heard a good old fashioned rock radio station. The Rock 96.7 out of Modesto. The bay area is missing a rock station. Yeah we got the bone 107.7. But it doesn't feel very rock listening to the Steven Seaweed interview Joe Satriani about working with Sammy Hagar and their new band chickenhead during the bonehead bone yard bone lunch bone bone bone. There is live 105 but cmon you can only play muse and red hot chili peppers so many times before it gets old, right? Don't get me wrong live 105 has its good points like playing imports and alternative stuff but it ain't no rock station no matter how many times they play metallica. Anyways I lost steam between writing the intro part and putting together their top ten list. Its actually nine cuz couldnt find a song. What was my point? I dont remember but that Theory of a Dead man song made me laugh when i heard it. Its awful but good at the same time.

Lil Weezy...Blogger?

So rapper Lil Wayne is now a blogger for ESPN. The word is that he's a huge sports nut so he's giving his opinion on football and stuff. You can check out his first blog here
And just for the hell of it, since we here at Couldn't Care Less have been Lil Wayne fans for over 10 years now, check out this classic video of B.G. and Cash Money doing the classic "Bling Bling". Remember when everyone was rich so it was all about throwing your money around, buying ridiculous jewelry? Good times, Good times.

Could Chinese Democracy ACTUALLY Be Coming Out This Year?

Look, this album has turned into a joke, but the latest is that Guns N Roses long long long long long etc. awaited album Chinese Democracy will finally be coming out in November. The catch is that it will be distributed exclusively through Best Buy. I've heard a handful of the songs and you know they actually weren't bad. And the tracks I heard were of pretty shitty quality. My hopes aren't as high for this as they should be, but I have a feeling people may be suprised by how good some songs are. However I don't know which songs will be on there. Of course lets not get too excited. This is Chinese Democracy we're talking about. I'll believe this album is coming out when I walk into a Best Buy and see it on their shelves. You know I LOVED GNR as a kid. They came out at the perfect time for me growing up. It's sad to know that only Axl remains from the original lineup. However we can always relive the good ol' days via You Tube. Check out GNR doing Mr. Brownstone live at the Ritz in New York City. I remember this concert airing on MTV as a kid. It was one awesome. Enjoy.

My New Favorite Wrestler - Jack Swagger

So you can catch this guy on Tuesday night's on ECW. Yeah, we know, it's not the original ECW, but it's actually not a bad show. Alot of young, up and coming talent, including Jack Swagger. He's still green, but he's got alot of potential. Also, I put up alot of stuff last night and I couldn't think of anything else to put up right now. But I'm sure I will at some point. Until then, enjoy Jack Swagger taking on former TNA tag team wrestler Chase Stevens. Yeah, I know it's really sad that I know that. But that's why they pay me the big money here at Couldn't Care Less.
