Like A Bucket Of Lard On A Bad Day

I was just thinking of this scene from Dirty Work and I thought I would put it up for no reason at all other than it's really fucking funny. All hail Don Rickles.

Cheesy Metal Videos Rule All

I love a lot of things in this life: My fiancee, my family, my friends, my cat Hank. But I'll tell ya, a good old fashioned cheesy metal video gives them all a run for their money. Check out some classic Yngwie Malmsteen. And to answer your question, yes there is a fire breathing dragon.

Okay, So I'm Kinda Digging The Ting Tings

So I know I'm not making some big underground discovery here, but I'm really digging the Ting Tings. They're fun and dumb and catchy as all hell. Sometimes you want something fun like that, you know. Check out a few of their singles. "Shut Up And Let Me Go" and "That's Not My Name". It will make you happy.

One More Christmas Thing, Okay?

Christmas is over? Really? But I just thought of a lame Christmas post! You know what, I'm using it anyway. This is Couldn't Care Less. And the only rule here is that there are no rules. Kind of going on Shade's post from the other day about Christmas movies, I thought of one. Granted it's not on the same level as his. In fact, it's kind of in its own league of awful. It's called Santa's Slay. That's right, a Christmas slasher film. I'll be honest, I haven't seen it, but I remember walking in Blockbuster once and seeing the cover. This movie stars none other than former WCW golden boy Bill Goldberg. So I guess he's an evil Santa who goes around killing people. Not exactly White Christmas, but whatever. I'm not going to go into the whole damn plot or anything. That's what Wikipedia is for. But here's the trailer. Check it out for yourself and maybe it will make it into your Christmas movie rotation.

Holiday Movies You May Have Missed

Every year they show the same ole Christmas specials and Holiday movies. You may have a must watch list already, but I propose you add a few more.
Sure we have all watched Charlie Brown’s pathetic Christmas, but that was nothing compared to the Christmases John McClane had to endure. In the first Die Hard he has to combat a bunch of terrorist thieves barefoot. In Die Hard 2 the action moves to an airport but he is still single handedly outsmarting bad guys all while trying to connect with his wife. And all the action takes place on Christmas. Ah, the holidays.

Still looking for some action, perhaps in a more ecstasy-fueled sort of way? Check out GO! This holiday caper weaves together three different intertwining stories as they relate to a big Christmas Eve rave called Mary SeXMas. Clever Eh? It came out around the time that everyone was trying to create the next Pulp Fiction, but it holds up pretty well aside from the dated rave-culture references. (Is it weird that the 90’s seem dated?) You can catch the whole movie on hulu.com for free.

Though GO! is billed as a comedy, it does not hold a candle to the greatest Holiday comedy of all times, Trading Places. This awesome movie takes place over the Christmas and New Year’s season. What better way to get into the holiday spirit than to watch Dan Akroyd and Eddie Murphy back when they were funny? Also Jaime Lee Curtis (and a couple of other chicks) show their tits, so everybody wins.

My last entry is a pretty popular Christmas movie and it may have made onto your list this year, but it is one of my favorites so I have to mention it. Scrooged. Yeah, it has a sappy ending and a good message but what do you want? It’s Christmas. It still has Bill Murray in one of his best roles ever and Carol Kane as a bad ass angel who hits him with a toaster. Peep the trailer below.

So there you are. Happy Holidays everybody!!!

A Green Christmas

So we all remember the "Hot Topic Is Not Punk Rock" song, right? No? Oh come on! Well, anyways MC Lars did that song and he's back with a new jam for the holidays. It's called "I'm Dreaming of a Green Christmas" and it features the singer of Bowling For Soup. Yeah, I'm struggling with cool Xmas stuff to put up so this is what you get. Enjoy

Okay, 3 More

Okay so in the last week I've gotten the chance to hear a few more albums that could have definitely made my top 10 list. You know, if I didn't already do it. Well, why don't we just call then honorable mentions and leave it that. Here's 5 albums that you should still hear, ya hear?
Made Out Of Babies-The Ruiner
Oh Julie Christmas, you're so angry! And it sounds so good. You ever wonder what Alanis Morisette would sound like fronting a punk/metal band? This gives you a good idea. I kept hearing about how great this record was until I finally gave it a spin. A little of kilter, some killer riffs, and crazy vocals. Hearing Christmas scream "Run, run for your life!" in "Cooker" makes you want to do just that. Solid stuff. Oh yeah she's kinda hot, too.

Misery Index-Traitors
Wow, Holy Shit! This one is is short and to the point. Like hey, we're Misery Index and for the next 30 minutes or so, we're gonna play some insanely good death metal really fucking fast, spit some political knowledge and then we're done. Unreal. Incredible record.
Kings of Leon-Only By The Night
Yeah, I know this is Couldn't Care Less and not Rolling Stone. I know I may be killing whatever cred I have left. But you know what? This is a pretty damn good album. It's pretty chill, you can't have people screaming at you all the time, right? It's a fun little album. And "Sex On Fire" is fucking awesome, and so is the new single "Use Somebody". Solid.

My Top 10 2008...couldnt think of anything else

The mundane mendacity of my macabre morbidity continues.

So my top ten is dumb. Was going to do books but have only read one this year (it was ok as books go, thanks for asking) Then maybe movies but only saw a couple movies so I cant really do that. So doing the top ten deaths of 2008. Dumb, yeah I only got a couple so to round out the ten I am going to need you guys out there to help me out. Send in your ideas on who should make the top ten. To start the countdown we have Frank Lawrence "Lefty" Rosenthal. Died in October, he was the guy that Deniro played in Casino thus the clip. The Mob tried to blow him

up but well they made Caddies special back then. Not like now but still its a Caddie.

(just give me a reason to jazz up the joint and maybe get some sponsers, oh what GM is going bankrupt, Damn)((Ok got to go wrap this puppy up)) Here is a obituary if you want to read more about lefty and his name links to his wikipedia page. So heres to you Lefty hope you hit the jackpot in the sky.
