It's official: there's a Local H DVD coming out. When, I don't know. But there's a trailer that was just released today. It looks like it will be the band performing their 12 Angry Months album all the way through, with interviews with the band also. It looks like its called 68 Angry Minutes. This sounds like a must have, especially considering it will be their first DVD. Check out the trailer below.
But that's not all. They just released a crappy new video for "Machine Shed Wrestling". There's not much to it, but I've seen worse. Watch it after the jump.

I'm On A Roll, It's Time To Go Solo
After releasing possibly their greatest album ever, it looks as though Local H frontman Scott Lucas is working on his first solo album. I can't say I'm too surprised. Although I always assumed he was Local H, so I don't know how different this album will sound. The songs he has up on his Myspace page are acoustic so maybe that's what we'll be getting here. Haven't heard anything about a release date, but I'm assuming it will be sometime this year. I'm curious, so I'll be keeping an eye on this for our loyal CCL readers. To tide you over until the record comes out, here's a clip of Scott doing an acoustic version of "Simple Pleas".

Thumbs Down's Top 3 Albums Of 2008
Well, here we go! Which albums made it into the top 3 for 2008? Let's find out, shall we? I know you're on the edge of your seat, so lets get to it.
3.Guns N Roses-Chinese Democracy. No, that's not a typo. This album is really that good. Okay, maybe I'm a little biased because I'm a big mark for Axl Rose, but these songs are really solid. It's fun to listen to. There's some great melodies and the guitar work is fucking amazing. I still say the Steven Adler was the best drummer they ever had and here the drums aren't exciting. But the songs are just epic. There was no way this album could have lived up to the hype after all these years. But it certainly delivered as far as I'm concerned.
2. Lil Wayne-The Carter 3. It's not all rock and metal on my list. I have to go along with everyone else and admit the greatness that was The Carter 3. Having been a fan of Wayne since the Hot Boys days, it's been fun to watch him turn into one of the biggest names in music today. "Lollipop" was one of the biggest songs of the year. "A Milli" and "Got Money"were right behind it and "Mrs Officer" is following right along. This album still has legs. Not a big fan of Robin Thicke being on this album, but that goes without saying. I have a feeling this will be his peak, but you never know.
And finally the number 1 album of the year is...
Local H- 12 Angry Months-I'm sure this comes as no surprise. The album that isn't on anyones list for the year but really should be. Yes, Local H is still around. Not only that but they've made the best album of their career. If you've ever had a rough breakup, this album is for you. Each song represents a month of feelings about a breakup. From trying to get back your record collection ("Where's all my Kyuss records/You never liked em until you met me") to meeting your ex's new boyfriend ("BMW Man"). From being sad about the split, to trying to move on to someone new ("Taxi Cabs") it covers it all. Not to mention how catchy alot of these songs are. Bottom line: You NEED to hear this album. It's good enough be my #1 album this year.
