Okay so here's the deal, I thought I would separate my Top 10 Albums of The Year post instead of just one crazy long post cause I got some stuff to say about them. So little by little my Top 10 list will come to fruition. It will kind of be like a David Lynch movie, only this will all make sense.
10.Electric Wizard: Witchcult Today
So technically I'm cheating here because this album officially dropped in November of 2007, but I haven't gotten into it until recently so fuck off. This record is just massive, riffs so drugged out you can smell the resin. Droned vocals, slow killer groove. This is the soundtrack for being stoned out of your fucking head. Dopethrone was a classic, but I think I would put this one right there with it. Solid shit from the Wizard.
9.Origin-Antithesis
So, yeah this thing is insane. It would be fascinating to know how these guys come up with these songs. But I guess the bigger question would be: How does that guy drum that fucking fast? No, really how? Insane playing all over this album, to the point of amazement. Oh and its mind-blowingly brutal too.
8.Psycroptic-ob(servant)
Technical death metal from Australia is a good thing. I really like this album. I just heard about them, checked em out and was instantly hooked.
7. Radiohead- In Rainbows
What can you say: It's Radiohead. They're just so friggin good its ridiculous. Sometimes it just blows my mind the things they do. I had a great experience with this album: I bought the actual record, read the lyrics while I listened just like I did when I was a kid. I've always gone back and forth on this band. I still don't get Kid A, and I'm not all that crazy about Amnesiac either, but everything else wins. Also I think this one came out last year too but I just don't give a fuuuuck!
Okay so that's it for now. But the rest will follow.

It's Psycroptic, Mate!
What's this you ask? This my friends is the new Psycroptic, called "Immortal Army Of One". These dudes are from Australia, mate. This is from their fourth record called Ob(Servant). I've been digging this one lately. Death metal, but that new technical death that's all the rage these days. These guys actually got a grant from the country of Australia to record their first album. Can you imagine anything like that happening in this country. Anyway, check this out, yo.
