New Morrissey?...Really?

Yeah so here it is, the new video from Morrissey. I'd be lying if I said it was very interesting. Man he's looking old. Is it just me or does Morrissey look like Johnny Sack from the Sopranos now? Anyway, the song is called "Throwing My Arms Around Paris". Check it out.

Lords Of Acid: For Mr. Slurve

So i gotta thank my boys for a great bachelor party the other night. So while Hanging Slurve and I were at the strip club he randomly asked my if I remembered Lords of Acid. I told him I did. He couldn't remember the name of the single we used to hear. Well, I quickly told him it was called "The Crablouse". Uh, yeah it was a song about having crabs. Maybe Slurve was subtly trying to tell me something or maybe that was just the vibe in the club. Regardless, here's the video in all its crappy quality.

Amusement....What you drinking Snow White?

It isn't the happiest place on earth if it don't got booze...but it does.

What the hell am I talking about or do you already know? Its Club 33 located in the heart of New Orleans Square....Disneyland. With the advent of the Internet little secrets get broken like where to get a Sloe Gin Fizz before you get on the PeopleMover

WHAT! that ride is gone no more Tron? Man that ride sucked but no line. What was I...oh yeah you have been battling the crowds been stuck in hour long lines and had to pay for crappy souvenirs that will probably be lost soon after, you need a cocktail a proper drink where do you find one in the land of Disney? At Club 33.
Its the only place they serve alcohol in Disneyland. Now don't go getting all ready to get liquored up with Mickey you have to pay to get in if you can get on the waiting list and wait a couple years to pay 20 Grand to drink like Dumbo. Not really worth it I know but If I am going to let Mr. Toad drive me around I am going to need a drink...you hear me Walt! Turn out your light dammit!
If you want to know more here is a website.

Movie thats....

Liked this movie even though it was out of left field and the dialogue doesn't jive with today. Guess you would call it Noir whatever that means it was just a who done it with a twist. It has that kid from 3rd rock from the sun in it but thats not really noteworthy what makes it a different movie is all these high schoolers talkin like Bogart. Its odd but kinda fun.

Cool Video For Your Friday Evening

Not much to talk about so far this year. Been pretty busy but I thought I'd put up a video I found on the great MetalSucks.net. The band is called Red Fang. Pretty cool song called "Prehistoric Dog". Awesome video to enjoy before you go out and hit the town. Or stay home and watch Smackdown. Either way, enjoy.

Top ten to the end...

9. Going with Shades suggestion about the shark who leaped to his death at Atlantis and adding to it what Morriessey had to say about Cobain after his suicide.
I feel sad and I felt envious. He had the courage to do it. I admire people who self-destruct and that's not a new comment for me. They are taking control. They're refusing to continue with unhappiness, which shows tremendous self-will. It must be very frightening to sit down and look at your watch and think, in 30 minutes I will not be here. Thinking, I'm going on that strange journey. Modern life is very pressurising. We're all on the verge of hysteria. There are people around who'll shoot your head off because you forgot to indicate.

8. He was a monster.

7. Invented the western shirt and bolo tie. Jack Weil.

6. Yeah he died in 07 but still its Pimp C.

5. Ok I didnt want to put Heath Ledger up but how else was I going to get Bundling up on this site. He was bundled in the so-so movie The Patriot. Its a strange tradition that this movie showed, but if your first person in case of emergency is a Olson twin...well.

4. Gonna miss you both. You were not the greatest but you got the job done.

3. Don LaFontain the movie trailer voice guy.

2. Nuff Said...

1. A number one is dumb for this list, and I couldn't come up with one either so ....

Louie Louie and a movie

Its been a while since I have posted so I wont bore you with the what and why and just jump in by saying do you remember this song? Here is the video for the Louie Louie song. The embedding was disabled, yeah really they disabled the ability of putting up the video of this master piece. Yeah kinda of biting Thumbs Down gimmick (sorry) but the song just popped in my head (yeah its a dismal place) But Shade also reminded me of other Christmas movies. Now this movie isn't really a Christmas movie but its set during the holidays. Its not a great movie (the story is too convoluted) but I enjoyed the banter in it. Here is a funny scene
then trailer

...enjoy and remember gigolos get lonely too.

Great (And Not So Great) Musical Moments In Pro Wrestling History

Let's face it, music is a big part of pro wrestling. Now days everyone has their own song to come to the ring to. The song starts and the crowd knows who is coming out. But where did all this start. Well, alot of people say it was started by Michael Hayes and the Fabulous Freebirds in World Class Championship Wrestling in Texas. Now, that promotion is a whole post unto itself at some point, but the Freebirds used to come to the ring to, yeah you guessed it, "Freebird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd. The gimmick was that the Freebirds were a rock and roll band as well as being wrestlers. And what better way to prove that than performing your own song. Check out Michael P.S. Hayes performing "Badstreet". This is still perhaps the greatest entrance song ever in wrestling. Think I'm lying? Check it out.

Of course we must talk about the WWF. They released an album of wrestlers singing their own songs called Piledriver. From the Honky Tonk Man to Slick, wrestler got behind the mic with predictably awful results. But that's just how the WWF was at the time. Even Vince McMahon got into the act. Check out ol' Vinny Mac singing "Stand Back" thinking he's Neil Diamond. Also check out Hulk Hogan playing bass. This one NEVER gets old.

And then there was WCW. There was a time when they were putting together some of the worst theme songs in existence. Songs about Ricky Steamboat being a humble family man, and Sting being uh well a man called Sting (Seriously, that's the best they could come up with?). Eventually things go a little better when they started ripping off Nirvana and Pearl Jam songs. Diamond Dallas Page had a them song that was a direct rip off of "Smells Like Teen Spirit". Want more: Of course not but here it comes. Raven had a song that was ripped off from "Come As You Are". It's really hard to believe Courtney Love didn't sue them. I guess this proves that she never watched wrestling.

I could probably go on and on, but I think I'll finish this up with a new song that's become a real favorite of mine. The tag team of Jesse and Festus come out to a song called "Biscuits and Gravy" that is so fucking catchy, you can't help but sing to yourself like a fucking retard. Which is what you have to be to enjoy this stupid sport we love called wrestling.

The curse of Nothing But Trouble

Last night I watched Nothing But Trouble for the first time from beginning to end. I have often caught it in pieces on late night TV but never watched the whole thing all at once. All I have to say is wow, what a terrible movie. It is like they were not even trying. It is just marvelously bad.

The best part of the movie is that it features a performance by Digital Underground. Why? No reason. They just happen to be passing through in a hearse and got caught speeding. Perhaps Dan Aykroyd (who stars, directs, and wrote the screenplay from a story by his brother) was a big fan of the humpty hump.
One interesting note about this movie is that it pretty much was the nail in the coffin of the careers of everyone in it. Perhaps they were all so high and mighty that they thought they could just make anything and people would eat it up. Not so. Only Demi Moore had a couple of good movies after this garbage. Chevy Chase went on to do Cops and Robersons and milked another Vacation movie, this time in Vegas. Dan Aykroyd did not do much but voices for the Ghost Busters’ cartoons. John Candy died. Well, not immediately after the movie, but I would guess that it was his work on the movie that really sent him over the edge. It was either that or the Jamaican Bobsled Team.
Lastly my beloved Digital Underground. Unfortunately this movie cursed them as well. Though Same Song was an awesome track and the video (featured below) was ridiculous fun, it was simply not enough. They did put out one more album, Sons of the P, but it was not nearly as successful as Sex Packets, and Digital Underground all but slipped off the scene. Some people forget that this was the introduction of Tupac Shakur into the rap world and cinema. And we all know what happened to him.
Just another Nothing But Trouble casualty.
So the next time you feel down, just be glad that you were not in Nothing But Trouble, or you could be dead. In the meantime, while you are alive, enjoy some fine moments from Digital Underground....
