Holiday Movies You May Have Missed

Every year they show the same ole Christmas specials and Holiday movies. You may have a must watch list already, but I propose you add a few more.
Sure we have all watched Charlie Brown’s pathetic Christmas, but that was nothing compared to the Christmases John McClane had to endure. In the first Die Hard he has to combat a bunch of terrorist thieves barefoot. In Die Hard 2 the action moves to an airport but he is still single handedly outsmarting bad guys all while trying to connect with his wife. And all the action takes place on Christmas. Ah, the holidays.

Still looking for some action, perhaps in a more ecstasy-fueled sort of way? Check out GO! This holiday caper weaves together three different intertwining stories as they relate to a big Christmas Eve rave called Mary SeXMas. Clever Eh? It came out around the time that everyone was trying to create the next Pulp Fiction, but it holds up pretty well aside from the dated rave-culture references. (Is it weird that the 90’s seem dated?) You can catch the whole movie on hulu.com for free.

Though GO! is billed as a comedy, it does not hold a candle to the greatest Holiday comedy of all times, Trading Places. This awesome movie takes place over the Christmas and New Year’s season. What better way to get into the holiday spirit than to watch Dan Akroyd and Eddie Murphy back when they were funny? Also Jaime Lee Curtis (and a couple of other chicks) show their tits, so everybody wins.

My last entry is a pretty popular Christmas movie and it may have made onto your list this year, but it is one of my favorites so I have to mention it. Scrooged. Yeah, it has a sappy ending and a good message but what do you want? It’s Christmas. It still has Bill Murray in one of his best roles ever and Carol Kane as a bad ass angel who hits him with a toaster. Peep the trailer below.

So there you are. Happy Holidays everybody!!!
