Why I Love Pro Wrestling

I've been a pro wrestling fan just about all my life. I remember my grandpa used to watch the NWA when I was a little kid. I got to see Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, Tully Blanchard (one of my all time favorites) and I was hooked from the get go. But it wasn't until I saw this that I realized how captivating Pro wrestling could be. "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff became my favorite wrestler. In fact when the WWF action figures came out, he was the first one I bought. One of many. I HATED Hulk Hogan, the guy who was supposed to be every boys hero. It was Orndorff who made me realize how great it was to be the bad guy.
Orndorff and Hogan would go on to feud for a long time. Eventually the two would end up in a 15 foot high steel cage for Hogan's WWF Championship. I still remember watching that match with my childhood friend Daniel Berger at his house. So much emotion came out as I hoped that somehow Orndorff would finally take that belt away from Hogan and become champion. But, after one of the greatest finishes to a wrestling match ever, Hogan survived Orndorff and his manager Bobby "The Brain" Heenan to remain champ. Still pisses me off to this day. I guess that's why I keep watching this stuff after all these years.
