Mother Fucking Weezer's On The Radio

So, I dream of the day when it will all end. Sure, it was cute at first. Oh how funny, he's singing a song about a sweater. And, yeah okay "El Scorcho" was an okay song, even though that Pinkerton album flopped. It's just that it keeps on going. And I don't see an end in sight. Weezer just won't leave us alone.

Oh they're so funny aren't they. Talking about Timbaland and KISS in their songs. What a rascal that Rivers Cuomo is. So cute, right? Yeah, I've fucking had it. It's enough already. Here at Live 105, the local "alternative" station, you're guarenteed a Weezer song an hour. And truthfully I can't take any more of them. I've got a list of certain bands that I never need to hear again for the rest of my life (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, and Incubus) and now Weezer is the new edition.
I mean really, how old is Rivers Cuomo? You'd think he was 10 or 11 by the songs he writes. I've never been a fan. I never got why they were so big. They came out after Nirvana died, so I guess in a way they were a change of pace from the doom and gloom of grunge and all that. Then Pinkerton came out and tanked. Then the guy went to Harvard or something like that. Then they came back and unleashed a bunch of nonsense crap like "Beverly Hills" and "Hash Pipe". I'd put up a link , but you've all heard this crap before. Just like their terrible new stuff. Even if you haven't heard it, once you do, you'll feel like you have. The singer is just not cool, so he's going to tell you how uncool he is in about 3 and a half minutes. That about sum up every fucking Weezer song? Yeah, thought so.
What about you? Do you have a list of bands you've heard enough of over the years? Let us know with a comment. Sorry for the rant. But it had to be done.

I could do without hearing any more radio Pearl Jam. And to be honest, I think Nirvana is great, but enough of it on the radio already. Same thing for Guns 'n'Roses. Just let them fade into obscurity where poeple can appreciate it because they don't hear it every half hour.
