So I have a serious obsession with cereal and since I can't think of anything better to talk about tonight, I am going to bust out some cereal knowledge. This may be an ongoing item so stay tuned. First subject: Lucky Charms
My favorite classic cereal is Lucky Charms and really only for one reason: Mashmallows (or as General Mills calls them, Marbits). Marshmallows in cereal...for breakfast. To me this was the most amazing thing that was possible in existance. Even Cookie Crisp which was essentially chocolate chip cookies for breakfast, posed some semblance of nutrition. Cookies have wheat and flour, but marshamallows are just sugar. So they mix them with other nuggets where the nutrition supposedly lies, but even that eventually got frosted to make the cereal sell better.
Now, I was never allowed to eat Lucky Charms because I had a mother with sense enough to know that kids should not be filled with sugar first thing in the morning, but I jonsed for them and when I finally got a taste, it was everything that I had dreamed it would be, and still is. Damn, this is making me hungry. I am going to go get a box. In the meantime, here is a commercial and a trivia game...
Lucky Charms started with simple marbits Pink Hearts, Yellow Moons, Orange Stars, & Green Clovers. Then they added more. See if you can put these into chricological order
Shooting Stars
Conversion of Yellow Moons to Blue Moons
Rainbows
Pots of Gold

good guesses. I will leave the answer on the next cereal post. (as opposed to Post Cereal)
