They both met movie stars, partied and mingled Their a&r man said I dont hear a single The future was wide open

That GLU video reminded me of another trip hop techno band Sneaker Pimps..remember them...heres a pic of them with manson and twiggy Rock-n-Roll!!!Yeah when I was watching God Lives Underwater video the related video box had the Sneaker Pimps, so why not go down memory lane again. They had a mid major hit in the 90's with the song "six underground". Kinda trippy techno (nobody listens to techno) that still holds up but the test of a band is the second single. Do you remember spin spin sugar?
OK not the biggest hit but better than Republica (no I will not be putting any kind of link to that band much like Gravity Kills) but at least they had a second single, and two more videos to that album. One of the songs "Post modern Sleaze"
is ok and the video is so 90's while the song and vid to "Tesko Suicide" is so-so. The Sneaker Pimps made a bunch more albums but only the one with the female lead singer Kelli Dayton who went onto a solo career. Who knows how successful they are but sometimes that hit single isn't the kiss of death. Some singers and bands go on to make decent stuff that their fans enjoy like Nada Surf. So it made me wonder, where is Katy Perry's second single? Well wonder no longer (what i need to explain who Katy Perry is? No way she's the singer to that hit song from 2008 about kissing a girl. No, not Jill Sobule.((Did she have a second single?))
Here it is; Enjoy

When I first heard about the Katy Perry single, I automatically assumed it was a cover of the Jill Sobule song. Sadly, it wasnt. Also tremendous Sneaker Pimps knowledge.
